well...operator is an FM style synth device, and most use for many applications, from soothing pads to harsh leads, and everything in between. Ableton is used a lot today, and many modern dubstep artists has it as thier go to DAW...im not going to say its the best DAW, that falls to personal choice...any DAW can be used to make whatever genre one desires...its all in the preference :D
Dubstep and fast paced songs are not easy to make on here. I'm actually looking up tutorials on multible music programs to determine which one to use. Abeleton looks pretty nice and it seems that 'the operator' can make some nice drops easily
