Merger sums p to three signals into one. All it's doing is bussing together sounds, just like a mixer would to a main output. A splitter duplicates the audio signal for up to three outputs. If you ran two outputs to a mixer the only difference would be they would sum together and be louder. But like insomniac said, you can use it to put effects over or sidechain.
That is called chaining and in that particular example it's used to put some effect on the drum kit but also to keep the dry signal! That way you can mix between the dray channel and the effected one!
I want to know what the line that runs directly from the splitter (C) to merger (C) is doing, ( or, why, when it is disconnected, it has such a dramatic affect on the sound?)...or just explain the whole thing, eheh! I hope it's not a to big a question, And I'd be super grateful if you could clear this up for me! ( be as technical as you like ) :) !

There is a way but it would be a hassle. You'd have to inspect the elements on the page, go to source, nick the code then convert and blah blah blah and embed in facebook, better to just link it. I'm sure the AT guys will sort something with facebook in time
