the drums are great, the bassssss is great, but what about musicality?
Minimal and Techno brought some extra elements to music aside from such classic stuffs like melodies and rhythms and meaning: athmosphere as an element, filtermovement , sound, room. If someone can't accept these as musical, he is not ripe for the Minimal approach.
there are sounds and textures that can be really creative, non-traditional or 'non-musical' and experimental, yet there's something else that makes it pleasant or not. In my humble opinion, this is carefully crafted and creative but it's not pleasant.
dont get me wrong i love musicality in music, but i think its more creative to turn non-musical sounds into a coherent piece, theres a touch of genius and a touch of madness in doing so
Don't get me wrong, too. I think André is an international hero and a legend for creating this phenomenon called AT.
This is also a promise to support you on Patreon as soon as I have some money <3 gotta keep sharing the love.
He is also the composer of the most famous three tone piece in 90s Dancefloor music ;)
And this is really good, I love what you made here
It confirms that they love, and enjoy what they are doing
This confirms that they want to be more creative, to stand out from the standard. It is in my opinion the best trait, that a musician can have <3
I agree with the little discussion, but I agree mostly with Ollie. These interesting pieces of artwork gave EDM it's popularity in the first place. They also keep it alive. But seriously, if we look at genres like Jazz, they pretty often create a mess of notes that hard to follow. It happens in every aspect of music. Making something quirky like this means that the musician plays with their music.
Just love the sub and rhythmic part
The rhythm is great. I love how the rhythm of the pitched sounds and fx seems to directly contradict the rhythm of the drums under them, which becomes apparent at the very end when the drums sound alone. Well played, André ;)
Thanks a lot guys!
i like the glitchiness etc. but the drums in this are actual perfection
Yeah man the Peacefrog is alive. Richtig geil!
