yeah, i really now what you mean, when i started making music I often exagerated with changes. It is often a matter of taste, but I like it often if a theme gets variation.
I think sometimes the Track looses if something comes in. This basedrumline of you reminded me a bit on a track on a LP I have which only plays with basedrums and effects. It really works in a club, but just once you cant hear that stuff all the time hehe.. greats

yeah, i think this basedrumbeats could be the maintheme, the tones come in are for unnecessary, or could be more in the background, whatever i like it....!

thanks! The hat sounds were random, the I tried to to make the snare and bass drum fit in with the hats. It made a nice beat, but i think it could be worked on a little more.
