I could switch completely to using Ableton as it does do all of the above and can produce a higher quality export file at the end, but I find Audiotool far, far more accessible and fun, plus it has the Pulverisateur, which I can't really do without.

I control the synths via control voltage and midi, sequenced using Ableton Intro. I will tend to use that to create some basic compositions. I then sample the synths, edit and trim them externally, then import them into Audiotool to create the arrangement, add automation and add vocals.

I just remembered something that Manu Chao said in one interview, approximately something along these lines:
"If the band is playing slow and gentle, I try to rap fast and raw. If the band is playing rapidly and powerful, I try to sing half tempo - to complement and contrast, to make it more interesting"

Yeahvle - pretty good shout - playing with tempo changes isn't something I've often done.

Hey. Nice sketh. What I would like to hear more of, from you, is if you could experiment with bridges that have double tempo or half tempo, for much more contrasts and variative speed in each track.

It feels like someone has ground up some glass, then used it to fill my inner ear, before sewing the entire thing tightly shut up to the inside of my ear drum. Driving me mad.
