It's been a few years, enjoy this comeback track!

Here I'm using the superlocrian scale and 66% syncopation (shuffle), both to become features in my new signature sound. I look forward to your feedback & remixes!

  • Damn, that's nice.

I'll be looking forward to seeing what this'll become.

    • The synth has a distinct digital sounding unison, as is very common in 90s/2000s style trance music. I find it not to work very well in a ambient setting, so I would either reduce the effect and cut off some of the high end or simply replace the synth with a more subtle sounding one.

    • Just curious: what would you change about the pads? Idk what you mean by 'cheesy' but I don't hear it, lol. Is it the synth I used or the chords?

    • This sounds really nice!

I think you overdid it with the reverb though and the pads sounded a bit too cheesy for my taste.

The transition at 01:42 is a bit awkward as well.

You do have a great feeling for atmosphere and I love the arpeggio.

This is a great track and I hope to hear more of your stuff in the future.

  • Idk if it's my new headphones but I suddenly feel the need to EQ this better.

  • wow I'm so glad you're back here making music!! I don't tend to have a very good critical ear so all I'm going to say is that this is great!

    • Thanks for the welcome back! I'm glad to be making music again. I accept your uncritical praise. xD

Threw in a lead while thinking about how it might sound with a vocal (in a lower range, because there were already too many notes up there) & made some other changes.

    Minor fixes.

Added a melody section, still working on that and some of the harmonizing. And everything else.

  • I used note tracks for more velocity control on the 808. It makes it easier to switch up patterns, too.
