Kibbey [Hiatus], rabbit hole [demo]

00:0002:30

This one I love sooo much. I feel like I'm making something professional for once. I've been working on this for a while to be put on the album, but I just can't keep it to myself anymore. I wanna know what you guys think of it, fr, critique it if you can. I want this to be perfect for the album.

thanks <3

One question remains: How deep does the rabbit hole go?

Wow, this is awesome! The ending I think could have used a little more of a transition out, but you did a good job here.

I dont use to listen that kind of track but the sound between 0.55 and 1.22 is absolutely wonderful..perfect for a minimal tech remix ;)

I feel like the drop would be a lot more dynamic if you swapped out the big chunky bass sometimes with other instruments and parts to create some contrast. Like for example with some bits from the :28 to :55 intro. It's a good bass but it's meaty and constantly playing which gets a little tiresome and boring. To also create some difference, you could change up the underlying rhythm sometimes.

Also, your mix sounds reasonable. So I don't think that's anything to worry about. Swapping out the meaty bass sometimes like I said will give the percussion a little more chance to breathe and have some dynamics.

In the drop the snare doesn't seem loud enough or it doesn't have enough frequency space where it could stand out. At least it's that way on my phone

I would suggest waiting to crit after you listen with headphones.
