FULL TITLE:

XavRockBeats - Emptier Than Before (Last Minut35 Extended Edit) - Version 1.0

.

Xavi's Emptier Than Before remains one of my favourite classic-audiotool-era tracks, specially with its key and chord progression.

.

This year, I thought that it would be a nice idea to make an extended version of the original, so I did extend the track. While I was at it, I changed some chord progressions in the chorus a bit not wanting to change the overall feel of this song much, as well as adding some small drum fills here and there.

.

More information on this track's comment section, given this thing's character limit. Thanks for listening, and as always sharing and feedback is welcome. Big shout outs for Xavi for the Original track - hope you don't mind Xav! ;)

See you guys and gals later! -lm35/375

  • Nice!!!

  • SOME MORE INFO:

The drum-only section in the middle of the song is inspired by UK Garage artist Todd Edwards, whose songs usually have a drum-only section in the middle before the other instruments return (sometimes the drums drop off, only to return a while after). Good examples are "You're The One", "Shut The Door", "You Are My All" and his newer release "Inspire Me". [1/6]

    • Otherwise, I'm glad this track turned out to be decent lol. And it eventually turned to be 5 minutes-long! Would you look at that!

Again, thanks for listening. And thanks for reading this thread, since it gives more insight on the making of this track.[6/6]

    • The cover art is eventually the same as the original, except for the text, some chromatic displacement effect thing, and a little X logo that I made for Xavi, which you can find in the cover art of PURSUIT - that track "Pursuit" was a remix of a demo by Xavi. [5/6]

    • I also thought that one of the synths that come before the second drop didn't match that of the OG completely, but comparing it with the original track I realized that it wasn't as far off as I feared. [4/6]
