The charged particles disembodied from their former atoms in violent processes still unknown to mankind barrage your ship. There is nothing around you except for the barely breathable air substitute created from a jar on Earth, your home, and the magma-like gel threatening to break through your ship's hull and destroy every bit of you, vaporizing you, quickly and surely.
You shudder. Why did you agree to this? There's nothing in it for you; it's a suicide mission. They promised money and fame, but what chance do you have of escaping the violent torture the Sun provides for you? None. It's a death trap. You won't even be able to move through the surface without the tools they gave you for cutting through. You should have melted by now. Why haven't you? You should have superheated by now. Why haven't you? You should have died, slowly and painfully, thousands of miles back. Why haven't you? They provide no answers, no help, not since the plasma and radiation broke the call. You're beyond help.
You hear a crack. Has the plasma broke through? What did base tell you about this, what could you do? Nothing. It's a suicide mission, they don't need a human on this ship to control it. They don't need a human here to gather the information they need. You're a lab rat, nothing more, nothing less. Or maybe, even less. Do they see you as a test subject, or as a hero? Will you be remembered in history as the one who discovered the secrets of the sun, or as the one who failed in his mission?
The crack again.
You hurry to shut the plasma-resistant door, but the plasma hasn't broken through. You gather what you can from outside the door, to save what you can. Salvage the remains of your depressing journey into the desolate landscape in front of you. You notice yourself nearing the surface. What can you do now? You're beyond help. You shut the door, hear the drill arm ready itself for entry, and lay back. You prepare for annhilation.
((This song is heavily WIP, so any suggestions are GREATLY appreciated!))
And do you like the background story thing? Cuz I think I might make an album of songs like this and wanna know if I should keep the story, if it's worth the time c:
