    Yes. Cyberpunk is a genre I like.

    Gibson always think when we talk about this.

    But the most visceral combination of cyberpunk culture with the Arab world does Effinger, is fascinating.

    A trilogy that captures at once, although the second volume always makes me a bit heavier.

    Implants, drugs, sex changes, and Islam. A master work!

  • yes, i'm afraid i only became familiar with the novel/author since discovering your work. i may now have to put them in my reading (audiobook listening) list. :) one of my very favorite things about art and knowledge is when i see the way to the new and undiscovered. in college i would achieve an altered state of consciousness just moving through the libraries . . .
