As darkness fell, a large sequence of projectors began to reflect lights off of tiny flying drones, sending light out in all directions, creating a constantly shifting, organic and nebulous image above the terrace. Many people stopped to look, but displays like this were common at night in urban districts all across, even in the lower levels. Wren, who never payed attention to the displays before, found herself amazed by the dancing lights and images as they shifted from yellow-orange to a periwinkle hue to chartreuse and other exotic colors such as fuchsia and puce.
