im still waiting on a computer good enough to make music with. in the meantime, i wanted to share a little remix/"instrumental cover" (??) of a song by bon iver, "woods". i dont really know what to call it, i guess its a remix but i reimagined it with a different instrumental setting. i know, its not equalized very well, its uncompressed, but i made this in AUDACITY which isnt really intended for large scale projects like this so it got messy in terms of the volume management. might wanna turn your headphones up in parts!

as silly/awkward as it sounds, i did put quite a lot of work into this. im playing all the piano loops in here, did some string plucking for the high stuff, just pitching different things around. the original song has a autotuned choir but i re arranged it and reversed every word but put the notes in the right order so youre hearing the melodies but not the words. the bg vocals and high ambient stuff r my friend covering another beautiful song by bon iver, "re:stacks".

    its so good to hear ur voice again & this is a really beautiful piece. i don't know how tf you made it in audacity man. but whatever. it's longing and hopeful at the same time & that is pretty much what i love about all of your music. glad i didn't miss this.

    Even with the bad mixing I'm still gonna listen to this every day. Reminds me of so much other music I love like Burial, Jon Hopkins, Grouper etc.

    I thought your music couldn't get better, but this is even better... crazy you made it in audacity
