Syntax told me to do something different! So something different it is. I wanted to try my hand at synthesized classical. I added in a bit of a beat to give it some groove.
Holy meow! It is so pretty! :D Heehee, the beatboxing is pretty strange :) Still a really pretty sound to it though, and the orchestra-ness in the back is very full and bootyful. :D
PS take it easy on me. I'm a trance guy. This was made with my "standard method". Just a little more variation than usual. Lay down two note chords, repeat lower octave, then add in some high note stuff. Rest of the instruments just follow the chord pattern verbatim.
Something I've heard a lot of complaining about is the beatboxing. I, for one, think that it was a nice touch, and, while listening to HoUsEE's mix without the beatboxing, I felt like it was missing something. Anyways, great track, but I think we would all like to hear some of those classic Infyuthsion beats we know and love :)
I would most certainly have this song in my top 5 list of songs on Audiotool. Whats amazing is that it is such a departure from your usual style but you pulled it off beautifully. To be quite honest, there are so many little things in this track that I loved, that I dont want to explain them all. Ill sum it up by saying that this is a fantastic track!
There's a reason that so many of us and watched your videos on youtube and this is an example of why. Great job. Keep experimenting, improving and shooting for what I must assume is your dream. I'm rooting for you. Also, I'd like to say think you for taking the time to make those videos for us. My favourite part in this song is with the "sap" voice. Great.

Additionally, I'd have the "strings" remain stationary when the bass changes on 3 (because it's really not a new chord, it's just a stylistic thing). Overall, this is a pretty good song, I just think it still needs a little more polish. I'd experiment with finding other chord tones to have the bass/strings play in certain points that you want to make stand out. I'm, impressed with what's there. Now that I listen to this again, you need to just take the bass out at 3:30 ish (the second break)
You chose some weird voicings. The baseline you chose is a slight variation on Pachelbel's Cannon in D (which I think Pachelbel borrowed from another song but I'm not sure which), in which it moves straight down a major scale. You added in some little cadences where the bass note moves up, but you chose weird notes to move to. Where you go from a Bb to a B, remember that it works but you can't let the sound from one chord carry into the next. Where you move from a Gb to an Ab, I'd instead move to a B.
Cool. I wouldn't really call it classical, but it's a nice piece. I think it could be arranged a little more effectively, though. When we get about 2:30, it sounds like its wrapping up, especially because of the break at 1:53... then the song continues? The second break needs something to keep it interesting. A better bass part, better drum part, something... to be continued
