I came home from college one day to find that my childhood dog had been severely neglected by my family in my absence. I tried to nurse her back to health, but she was too weak. I drove her to the vet, but on the drive she had passed away. She had been with me since the death of my dad and was a friend that I could turn to when no one else could handle my grief. I still struggle with how she passed. Princess deserved better. This song has always stirred up these memories in me even though I've forgiveness and found healing.

  • wow i need to listen to your stuff more often

  • honestly, this Song fits with my Dogs as well, when I left my household, both my dogs got more worse on Health because I left and eventually passed away because of it, Rip to your Childhood Dog man, hope she can find happiness, this goes for both mine and your dogs man. Very Strong on its emotion this song has as well.

  • wow! amazing work

  • WOAH

  • best part: the guitar at 01:15

    (P.S.: maybe this will win!)

  • I would happily retract my entries if it helps this song win!

The original by po9t already brought tears to my eyes, but you completely floored me with your track and the story behind!

    • I've already got my thoughts and appreciation out, that's all I wanted! Don't let the "meaningfulness" get in the way of recognizing some truly amazing entries like your own, @JayFK

      Thank you, though ❤

  • Very nice

  • WHY 49 BPM NOOOOOO

    • this is a slowcore song, 98bpm weird

    • it was easier to work with the samples if I kept it at the original track's bpm. The first guitar tracks had to get time stretched to help them fit lol

  • powerful song

  • Amazing work. So sorry about your dog but glad you're healing <3
