also another way to change the song length is to change the tempo, which can be done by double clicking the box where a 120.00 is displayed in the far left end of the timeline. as far as i know the beats per minute (bpm) ranges from 80 to 200, i havent mixed anything outside of that range.
not a hard thing to do, but not the most noticable attribute to the program. okay, so you know the timeline right? when you zoom all the way out, i mean ALL the way out, look at the far right end of the timeline, around where your blue loop bar usually is. there is a small black tab; click it and drag it as close to your samples and tracks as you want. that tab indicates the end of the song.
by the way, some words of encouragement - if youre nervous about making your own tracks, just let me know. ill be happy to start off collaborations for you to tweak. its a good way to feel around and get to know the setup. :)
