Vivid autumn colours of yellow and gold bathe me in their warmth and brightness. yellow flower trees, fat and heavy blossoms, set against a clear azure sky in the reflection of the windowpane. it is the intensity of the petals I noticed first, and then the weight of them -though they are in full bloom, have no life left within them. the roots are no longer bearing, and they are sinking as fast as they can.
