In this series of post, I'll give all the key off modern arrangement that I know (and that people knows in the comments). It will not be Arrangement for a special electro style, but big notions of big musical genres on which are based the electronic music genre, but maybe must we before all talk about influences in Electronic Music

Influences and Story of Electronic Music

Electronic Music is, at his birth, not really a genre. The only thing that make the difference between "Acoustic Music" and "Electronic Music" is the use of electronic devices. This is the reason why the Electronic Music now have many differents subgenres with many differents codes who is not really personnel to the genre, but, together, create the essence of what we can call Electronic Music. Of Course, some fusion of those code created some other code who re proper to electronic music, this is the base of all musical movement (Jazz wasn't a real musical movement at his beginin' after all)

So, we will see some technics of modern popular music who can have a strong or weak link with Electro, the fact is that you'll need to know those technics to, sometimes, reutilizes it in your own songs.

Here are a Quick List of the genres that we'll talk about and/or who've influenced the Electro in major or minor ways: -Blues -Jazz -Funk -Musique Concrète/Avant-Garde -Progressive Rock -Psychedelic Rock -Punk -Rap -Folk -Savant Music (Baroque, Classic, Impressionist) -Classic Rock -Alt Rock

We'll maybe not see all the technics and all the links between Electro and those genres, but I'll try, as the young French Man that I am, to give you some keys of musical theory, in a bad english sometimes (lol)
