Audiotool is a creative, welcoming, supportive and knowledge-sharing community. Our mission is to democratise music production, providing a freely available music studio in your browser. We strive to be a community sharing a love for music. We respect other people’s opinions and make everybody feel welcome and comfortable.

We do not tolerate any of the following actions:

  • Spamming
  • Copyright infringement
  • Personal attacks, harassment and making people uncomfortable
  • Uploading or linking to any pornographic or disturbing materials
  • Indoctrination of other users in terms of religion, beliefs and ideology
  • Discrimination against others due to gender, political or religious beliefs, sexual orientation, ethnicity, nationality, etc

We strongly appreciate the following behaviour:

  • Being nice
  • Being helpful
  • Being respectful
  • Being reasonable
  • Being empathetic and easygoing
  • Being willing to learn and share ideas

We have a variety of ways of enforcing our rules, including, but not limited to:

  • Asking you in a friendly way to stop doing it
  • Asking you in a less friendly way to stop doing it
  • Removal of content (e.g. deleting tracks, samples and comments)
  • Permanent or temporary suspension of accounts
  • Removal of privileges (e.g. sample upload) from accounts
    If someone repeatedly violates our rules, we enforce them with stricter measures. If the violation continues beyond a certain point, we permanently ban the account. Also see https://www.audiotool.com/terms #7
