So I'm kinda new to this kind of stuff but would like to learn so I could start making my own beats, but none of the YT videos help at all cuz I don't understand what the hell any of them are talking about. Hoping someone can translate this stuff into words i can understand

I recommend 16 sensei. Don't use the samples he used because they have since been taken down, but you can still find different samples on your own.

Also, when adding a sample into the machinist (or however you spell it), you can right click on it and hit "create sample track." It will bring up a midi which does not change the pitch, but you can create complex patterns more easily (at least for me).
