If you mean a beat from a drum machine, you don't even need a pattern to repeat it. Just let it play. If you want to repeat it continuously for a certain length, just drag the right edge of your pattern to make it longer. If you want to repeat it somewhere else after a gap, copy the patter with the method mentioned below.

hold ctrl and simply select a pattern + drag and drop :)

I am trying to do the copy and paste thing but it won't let me is there any other way
use ctrl + c and ctrl + v
i will try to hit ctrl + C, but it will jump to the end of whatever loop i am trying to take the notes from. i can't actually get it to copy.
