Hello! I would love to see a preview feature added to Audiotool. What I mean by this is that I feel it would be awesome for us to be able to temporally post a small clip of our music so people can see what we're making before we post the full thing. I feel this would benefit us by allowing us to increase awareness of our songs before they come out and to get some live feedback about them! If this is added we could even get a "Previews" tab in the music section to see them, and (Yeah I know i'm rambling here) we could have a notify button that will give us a notification when the song releases! But yeah I think this could be really useful and well received!

People are gonna be using this to build up serious hype before releasing a crappy track that sounds nothing like the preview they posted. Just watch.
Yeah while some people might try to I feel like the benefits of this would outweigh it, plus if we had it on the guidelines or just collective punished/made it known what people do it I think the problem would be somewhat mitigated.
Well, I don't think anyone should be punished for it, the reputation loss from it is enough to deter people from doing it. People who aren't deterred by the potential natural reputation loss would suffer from their poor decisions, without any moderation of any kind. Any guidelines on this would merely be suggestions on how to not get hated by the community.
True, the overall distrust generated by being called out on the practice would be quite harmful. I just thought about throwing the idea out there in case it would become needed within the site after the idea's implication. As we never know what people may try to do, so yes I agree moderative punishment would be a leap but also we do not know what people could try and pull.
