Hello! I'm trying to sidechain a saw pad so that it has a pulsating effect, but I can only seem to figure out how to do that with a kick sample and a compressor. Is there any way to sidechain without using any samples or making any other noise such as an LFO? Thanks!

You can use automation. Automate the synth volume with a simple cycle of a few key-frames that represents the envelope that you want and extend the region for as long as you need.
