audiotrack device

Whenever I use the audiotrack device, I choose the sample I want to use but it doesn't automatically create a soundtrack on the timeline. I've also tried dragging the sample and it doesn't work either. I'm either dumb or doing something wrong.

  • Okay, thank you. I have another question, will the audiotrack work if you choose a preset for it?

    • Yes, but given that the Audiotrack is such a simple device (just three parameters), I don't see the usefulness of presets for it.

  • If you're dragging a sample from the sample panel to your desktop, make sure that you drop it on an empty area (the preview rectangle should be dark grey and not red). Otherwise no sample will be created. If you drag just the Audiotrack device from the device panel to the desktop, an empty track will be created for it on the timeline. Just switch to the sample panel and drag the sample to the empty audio track on the timeline.

    • It works for me. Make sure that you have an Audiotrack device on the desktop, then expand the timeline. You should see an audio track on it corresponding to the device. Drag a sample from the sample panel on the right into the audio track on the timeline.

Note that uploading an audio file from your computer to Audiotool so that it shows up in the sample panel is a different process. Let me know if that#s what you have issues with.

    • doesn't work! it will not allow audio to be dragged on the timeline. I have tried uploading, doesn't wor three friggin hours trying to figure out this crap!
