Can't download an unpublished track and it's driving me nuts.

When I try to download a track that I'm working on it says "Download disabled by the author". As far as I know I have not disabled anything at all. I have checked every nook and cranny of the menu and track menu and have enabled everything I can enable and still I get the same message. Anyone know what I can do? Cheers .

  • If the track has never been rendered (as in, published from the studio), there is no mixdown available for you to download. If you want to render a track without publishing it first, you have two options.

    1) You can do a loopback recording using a tool like audacity

    2) Or, you can support audiotool on Patreon which will allow you to render and download your tracks from inside the studio in lossless quality

    • Both options mentioned to you, work independently of any flagged samples

    • Thanks for the reply. It's not generally a problem but for some reason, tracks that I finished some time ago, now have every audio sample flagged as unsafe so though I cannot publish the track, I still want to keep a copy. Thanks again.
