I noticed that when your cursor is near an edge of the work-space, it will start scrolling in that direction automatically. It is a little frustrating when you want to use the UI (like insert a new instrument for instance) and it starts scrolling. Is there a way to disable this?

you can zoom out or make the workspace bigger by minimising the timeline and devices toolbar
Press and hold the Tab key to zoom out for an overview.
I think this is a bug that has already been reported. mostly you can fix it by switching to the full piano roll view once and then back to the split screen again.
This has nothing to do with his problem as far as I understand.
I don't think this is a bug at all
uh why?
He is describing a feature which he does not like. To me it sounds like he has a small screen.
maybe we mean really different things, if by "work space" he means the "audiotool desktop" I only know this when placing new devices, then sometimes the view just jumps far out of the middle, but has happened to me only twice, but the automatic scrolling in the timeline view occurs more regularly as soon as you move the mouse, on my pc at least :)
You need to select a device first (like OP said)
aaaah you're right i got it, this only works if you already grabbed a plugin and move it up or down, i thought for a moment there would be a screen movement like in strategy games when you move to any side of the screen :)

That actually is exactly what I meant. I went to place some machines and then screen-record it happening to show you, but now it's not doing it. Weird.
yeah its annoying, i want to select a plugin and the screen moves to the right. Its not the timeline scroll, its the place where you put plugins and connect cables and such. Its like you're in a strategy game
