Many times when I work on a draft in Next, after a certain amount of synths or certain sounds playing together, my draft will overload. While it's overloading, the sound becomes choppy and skips some parts sometimes. This is strange to me because this doesn't happen in the flash version. I tried downloading the booster but I don't know how to install it because I'm using windows software on a mac. Please help because this is making drafts in Next unbearable for me to work on.

Get booster to work and it will help u to a certain point.
Yes but how do I do that with windows software on a mac? Do I choose the booster for mac or windows?
If you are running windows software on mac then u should use booster for windows anyway since you are operating windows software in general.
Don't bother, https://www.audiotool.com/user/bluedude/, I do the exact same thing and it doesn't work period. Try https://www.audiotool.com/board/general/next_first_aid and maybe it will work, but I didn't have any luck getting it to start
Also check this thread maybe you will need it

Have you tired these tips? https://www.audiotool.com/board/general/next_first_aid In my case, enabling Audio Worklet and lowering FPS helped.
