Waveform shows Panning

hey question, so, i was wondering..is it possible to make the waveform that shows when u publish smthing show the panning if the instrument was loud enough, like, have the left ear be the top part of the waveform, and the right ear be the bottom part of the waveform..a reason for this would be bc i have seen a lot of instances where you pan smthing by accident, and if the waveform shows that, it would be a lot easier to know if it is panned.. and also, it would look a little bit nicer...idk if thats possible, but i just figured id throw that out

  • how do you make it pan?

  • It makes sense. You can easily check if there are any panned signals by using a third-party software.. You can use Audacity to split Stereo into 2 mono tracks, invert one track, then merged them together. There you'll know if something is panned or not.

I don't find having left/right waveform useful because when you accidentally panned something, chances are, the waveforms aren't so "different", and you couldn't tell by looking.

  • i guess an easier way to explain this is that rn the waveforms are mono, i think it would be cool if they were stereo..i guess that makes sense?
