ARC Sample Guidelines

‍‍‍In order to ensure ARC samples are free, legal, and continue to meaningfully serve the community, we have these guidelines. Audiotool also has their own set of guidelines when it comes to sample upload (which you can find at ). It's crucially important that these guidelines are followed. Otherwise, ARC could be held legally accountable. Here's the breakdown of what's fair game: ‍‍‍

1. Vocals and Instruments
For the purposes of ARC, vocals samples (vox) should be short and can include runs, riffs, breaks, chops, etc.
The same goes for acoustic and hardware instruments
VSTs and software instruments are OK as long as no presets are used.
(e.g. synths and drum machines as long as they do not use unoriginal samples themselves)‍‍
2. Ambience/Foley
This includes sounds from nature, field recording, etc.
Again, for ARC purposes, try to keep samples short‍‍‍
3. Miscellaneous Original Material
For example, synthesized material void of unoriginal samples is OK
(e.g. glitched samples, synthesized drum sets, etc.)
