I get it. The sample's tempo is different from my project tempo. But it doesn't always matter. Maybe it's an ambient/drone sample, maybe I just want parts of it. Can audiotool not change its pitch.

Right-click the audio region in the timeline and choose Change Playback Mode > Timestretch on the context menu. This will conserve the original sample pitch.
