im doing this on my computer and for some reason "file" doesnt show up in this app. i was wondering if there is any other way to record vocals?

You might find useful answers by looking on the Help board topics like this one: recording rather than asking on the wrong board.
go the the publish button then at the bottom of the pop up there should be a sample upload button click it then it will take you into probe then you can click record button and record stuff.
