How to change the sample tone without changing the acceleration

Yo guys.

I just came here to help some people who may be in doubt. (As I was)

I always had doubts about the tone change of vocals.

Every time i was editing the vocals by pitch, they accelerated or slowed down.

And the time of the vocals didn't agree with the time of the music (BPM).

So, now I've found a solution!

Here's how:

Step 1 - Pick up the desired sample: Choose a sample to your song and put it on Audiotrack.

Step 2 - Add a Pitchdelay with the sample: May seem strange, but it's this effect that will change everything!

Step 3 - Configure the Pitchdelay: You will configure the Pitchdelay as follows:

  • Steps: 1

  • Steplength: 1/16

  • Feedback: 0.00%

  • Level: 100.00%

  • Pitch (Tune): You will set the pitch in the tone you want.

Step 4 - Done: You will see that the time is the same as the original.

Extra tip: If you don't want to change the tone of the sample automatically (Pitch), and remain with the original tone, you can do this:

Step 1 - Pick up the desired sample: Choose a sample to your song and put it on Audiotrack.

Step 2 - Right-click on the sample: A list of things will appear: you will select Audio Stretch Mode

Step 3 - Choose the Time Stretching: Selecting Audio Stretch Mode, two options will appear:

  • Pitch: Which will probably be selected.

  • TimeStretching (poor): Will appear as a second option. Click on TimeStretching (poor).

Step 4 - Done: You will see that the sample will have the same tone as the original.

Warning: This will only work with loop samples, oneshot samples will not work.

So, this is it, guys! I hope i have helped! If anyone wants to give some opinion or help in anything, comment here below!
