The "Tune" knob of the TR-808 drum machine has a very narrow range, insufficient for melodies. You'd be better off either using a 808 kick sample on the Machiniste and tuning it with the Pitch knob, or better yet, synthesise your own 808 sound (for example, with the Pulverisateur) and using a note track.
