Practically, I have an alternate account and manage several organizational
accounts. This means I often logout for the purpose of logging into another
account. If I click the logout button and proceed to login from the
following screen, it stays logged out. In order to circumvent this, I have
to navigate to audiotool.com and then proceed to login, which is an extra
uneccessary step.

Steps to reproduce:
Logging in reloads the page and since you came from a logout page, you'll get immediately logged out again.
But how did you get https://www.audiotool.com/user/logout into you address bar? When I click on logout, I'm redirected to https://www.audiotool.com/
I'm not sure I understand what you mean. When I click on the logout menu from the user dropdown menu, it navigates me to that page, it doesn't redirect me.
Erm ... ok, Chromium doesn't navigate to the logout URL but Firefox does - weird.
I'm actually using Chrome (72.0.3626.109), hmm
Nonetheless - this should be enough information to fix it. Thanks for bringing this up.
This bug either was not fixed, or has resurfaced somehow, as when I log out, I get brought to the logout URL, and am unable to sign back in until I navigate back to homepage.

Bumping this. Bug is still there.
been here forever, never wrote a report myself lol, thanks @apollo for bringing this up :)
I'm not sure if this has been resolved as I can't reliably reproduce the issue on initial testing.
If I recall correctly however, there may be certain pages or user flows that cause this issue, and I'll be sure to look into it more in-depth and report my findings here.
you have to switch pages before logging in again
