Jokes aside: This looks really weird. Maybe the alpha blending is broken somehow.
As requested on https://www.audiotool.com/board/news/desktop_rendering_update please post the output of chrome://gpu/ if you're using Chrome. And as always: Browser+Version, OS, Type of Hardware and maybe which Graphics card is installed.
Graphics drivers are up to date? Ever seen something similar on your device?
Does this pattern flicker or change when working with the app? Or is it mostly stable? Does this pattern scroll and zoom when navigating through the desktop?
I'm having a similar issue, the visual rendering artefacts are not consistent and seem do be directly correlated with the device renderings.
Note that I made sure to update everything on my laptop before opening Audiotool, which included an OS update (restart required), an update to the Audiotool Booster, and a couple extraneous app updates. Also, oddly enough, I don't get any coloured wires even when tweaking rendering settings in the preferences.
Testing updates (my machine):
(0) In accordance with https://www.audiotool.com/board/bug_reports/desktop-only_visual artefacts are confined to the desktop and no other section of the app
(1) The bug is independent of the Booster, occurring with it running or otherwise
(2) Artefacts can be completely cleared if the timeline is completely expanded and closed
(3) There is currently no pattern to the appearance of the artefacts, however:
a. they become more plenteous as the desktop is navigated
b. they are 1:1 correspondent to rendered desktop devices, trails are left behind in the exact shape and former position of moved devices and cables
(4) There are apparently two variants of visual artefacts: the first being persistent semi-interlaced, gradient filled boxes that correspond to the position of rendered devices; the second being infrequent flashes of the device wireframes coherent with the current render of the device
Yes, I think I may have forgotten to note that I can navigate the interface without much issue other than the visual artefacts on the desktop.
With that, I can change the cable colour but it has no effect
@chordofdestruction My apologies, I misread your comment. I can change the cable colours by using the context menu associated with the specific cable, not the preferences dialogue box under the desktop tab
I'm also having the same problem as well. I read up on everything you guys said about this, but let me know if you need my Specs I guess. I also tried the Test, and both say pass, and Test Complete and all green, but the glitch still happens.
Hey there, just a heads up, I had a conversation with @chordofdestruction and I assumed this was a global issue on all Intel GPUs that run on Mac, but it seems it is specific chipsets? not sure. But if it helps, I have the same chipset as vulky, and I tested on chrome after you disabled a feature on the app and I see no problems, I also passed that WebGL test. I didn't test before you disabled the feature. Sorry! But like I said, I have the same chipset as vulkron.
I'll probably double check if there's any updates for firefox. And the only thing I run as a extension I guess, is the Audiotool Booster. Not quite sure what extensions mean.
In the Error as well, it says "defrac.lang.JSException: The operation failed because the request database object could not be found. For example, an object store did not exist but was being opened."

Thanks a lot! I'm having a look.
Can you switch the cable color using the context menu?
I was linked here, here's my report of the same problems with some details:
https://www.audiotool.com/board/bug_reports/desktop-only_visual#c81563
How do I open the dev-tools console?
oh nm i found it
It says WebGL2 context created
Yes, I think I may have forgotten to note that I can navigate the interface without much issue other than the visual artefacts on the desktop.

i dont see any, but then again, i literally dont know anything about it
No, the issue dissappears in firefox
My GPU model is Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB
WebGL2

Huh, I didn't know this bug was specific to macOS Intel drivers.
Yet another reason I will be opting to use Windows more often...
I'm also having the same problem as well. I read up on everything you guys said about this, but let me know if you need my Specs I guess. I also tried the Test, and both say pass, and Test Complete and all green, but the glitch still happens.
The test, and audiotool seem to be fully functional in Firefox @andremichelle
The app is still visually buggy. However, cables have now disappeared for me.
In the meantime, I guess I'll be using Firefox
I have a Mac and can install Team Viewer on it so you can play around @andremichelle

Here are the specs incase you are interested:
@andremichelle When I try to open up a draft, or start the App on Firefox, it gives me a Error, the "Guru Meditation". That's why I use Chrome.
I'll probably double check if there's any updates for firefox. And the only thing I run as a extension I guess, is the Audiotool Booster. Not quite sure what extensions mean.
Firefox is up to date
I still get the Error but, now I get "Cannot Run Audiotool. Your browser does not support WebGL. Consider updating your GPU driver."
This is using Firefox
Lmao. It went back to "Guru Meditation", when i try opening it again. I don't get "Cannot Run Audiotool" anymore
In the Error as well, it says "defrac.lang.JSException: The operation failed because the request database object could not be found. For example, an object store did not exist but was being opened."
Lol yeah x3 and I'm in a draft right now, and the glitch is still happening. I'll re open the draft here in a bit
Nope, the glitch is still happening for me
Yeah, it's still happening for me too
Like I said, I don't think I have had the problem. I'll let you know if I encounter it! The performance is okay too.
Hey, my i got my mac working again. Sorry I havent replied
Here's the specs of my mac:

Wow, it looks like it's working! Kudos guys, nice work... this one was a doozy
Damn! It's completely fixed! Thank you @andremichelle but I also have one more problem, that's different from this...
