Apart from
@Icebox
's explanation, Audiotool is a free daw that attracts a lot of young/inexperienced producers, with the inexperience come a lack of appropriate gear to include vocals in their music. While some artists have figured out their own style and include vocals in their art, other artists haven't been in the app long enough to find their groove and put what needs to be in a song... in a song. So apart from there simply not being many of us out here who use our voices, the community is a fairly newbie one that doesn't have the luxury of fluency in the app.
I feel like I need to speak up on this topic, so yes! You can put lyrics in your songs, even on Audiotool! It can easily be interpreted that Audiotool may not be a popular website for independent vocalists who use lyrics in their songs, but the vocal landscape on Audiotool is changing! Apart from my pathetic ass that popped up a year ago, more, better vocalists are showing up with astonishing lyrics on their song here!
@po9t
and
@seb
have been increasingly gaining popularity and confodence in their vocals,
@joe
has been incorporating more rap in his music, and of course you have Audiotool's classic, and in my opinion best and most experienced vocalist,
@naswalt
. He was in my opinion, a pioneer that ushered in a new era of Audiotool music where more vocalists including myself, gained confidence to incorporate lyrics in our songs like he did! So it doesn't mean that just because Audiotool doesn't have as many vocalists as platforms like soundcloud, that you can't incorporate lyrics in your songs here! In fact, by doing so, you distinguish yourself as one of the few artists that controbute to this growing community on Audiotool. I hope that answers your question ;)
The community loves to see tracks with vocals. Adding them does wonders to building your style as well! You do you though, whatever you're comfortable with
