What sparked my idea
If you go to this link, you would see the thing that sparked my idea:

Explanation
The Composite Unit would be a device that's mostly screen, looking much like the Heisenberg. To make a Composite Unit, you could drag select (or shift-click select) a bunch of devices and right-click them and select Create Composite to open a special menu.
This menu would be a workspace with the elements you selected all placed in the locations they were in, but connections to devices not included in the selection would instead be replaced by connections to special nodes only accessible in the menu. These nodes would be known as Composite Input and Composite Output nodes. These nodes would show up as draggable input/output units on the outside of a preview model of the Composite Node.
Additionally, you could right-click knobs and levers and stuff and click a hyperlink option in the context menu which would add the setting to the list of settings displayed on the screen of the preview model. You can arrange the settings in different places on the screen and give them special labels. You can also add text boxes and lines and stuff to the screen as desired.
When you finish a Composite Unit, you can turn it into a preset, which can be accessed by people dragging an empty Composite Unit from the Devices menu and searching through a list of presets. Composite Units can be nested, but only four times before disallowing any further nesting (it doesn't have to be four times, it could be two, none, or maybe ten). To modify a Composite Unit, the context menu for one would contain an edit option. Editing a preset would remove the preset but keep the preset's settings for you to modify.
Benefits
This could lead to faster shortcuts for people to make songs, plus people could learn how to do special effects. The community could be flowing with more songs with higher quality and everyone would be happy.
Consequences
Definitely gonna be infested with bugs and exploits, so the bug report forum could end up being busier than usual. Plus, this is probably gonna take the developers a lot of time to make and could pull them away from other things.

Somehow other things besides this got people's attentions. 🗿 just like my worlds in Junon.io and my ships in Dredark.io!
Please, someone, if you have any comments to add please add them. Feel free to request me to add/remove details from my post and tell me the reasons why. I am open to any ideas people would like to add to the pile of ideas I have!
I had a similar idea to this where you could group effects into a new device which has a knob on it where you can multiply the effect of all of them all in one device
But anything similar to this idea would be very helpful
use a friggin MERGER
They're not the same
I think this generally sounds like a cool idea, being able to group devices, create virtual parameters and save device groupings. I think similar ideas have been shared before, and I'm sure it's something the devs have taken note of. There is a lot of work going on with the audio engine however, so I think that might need to be finished first before we see any significant new features :)
very exciting news!
