They are virtual instruments downloadable through the internet. Examples of these are Xfer Serum, Fab Filter, Massive, and stuff like that. There are a lot of good free ones as well.

0v0 i like Serum

it would go perfect with audiotool. Audiotool's collection of samples, Serum's importing of samples... it's awsome!

This has been addressed in the past.

It comes down to:
legal issues with people using cracked vsts on the site
Collabs or remixes where one person has bought the vst and another has not and therefore cannot use it. This would cause issues within the app as I understand it.

(I am not a Dev, hence the lack of technical explanation)

If I'm reading your comment right, they, um, were either never here in the first place or they never left.

It's an interestimg idea, but as you can see, copyright and stuff. But here's another hurdle:
I'm not so sure how Serum works, I thought it was like a file downloaded onto your computer. There'd be no way (that I know of) to get the Serum into the audiotool app, as it is a website.

I mean if you want to use vst's just go to another daw. LMMS is free and they let you do pretty much whatever you need to do when downloading presets etc.

Unfortunately, LMMS has no support for vst3

I mean it would be cool to be able to throw my maschine plugin into audiotool, but then again I don't think many people on NativeInstruments would like it too much lol.

i meant, how would we go about having vst support and keeping all devices accessible for all users?
