The last and one of the youngest artists in the first round is a guarantor for nasty basses and heavy drums. At a young age, Vault Boy is already one of the top players in our well-established Bass Music and Dubstep gang. So buy some ear protection, pump up the volume and bang your heads to Vault Boy's audible punch in the gut.

Interview:

About Vault Boy :

My name is Vincent and I am 16 years old. I can play the piano, guitar and ukulele heh not tryna flex or anything... anyway I’ve been on here for like 2 years maybe a little more now but when I first started it was actually for school like they made me use it in music class it was pretty fun so I kept using it when I got out of the class I used to make music at school all the time because I never talked to anyone and I got bullied like a lot. like bro have the stuff happened to me wasn’t even my fault it was because I was in special ed classes at the time, and I got the shit beat out of me almost daily. Looking back on it now is just funny, because it doesn’t even matter anymore, I got out of special ed and know I’m just a normal basic kid who likes making dubstep. Is that personal enough? idk I mean not like it’s a huge secret lmao just look at the way I act...

Which artist has had the most influence on you (on and/or outside Audiotool)?

The person that inspired to even make music would be Skrillex, his best/iconic song for me would be easily "Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites"

Who would you like to work /collaborate with on and outside Audiotool, and why?

If it would be anybody it would just have to be Virtual Riot like c’mon its VR who wouldn’t want to collab with that guy.

Which film/game would you like to produce the score for or contribute a song to?

I always wanted to sound design a fighting seen in an anime. One of the best ones is from sword art online where they have these crazy glitch effects while there fighting.

Have you ever had a writer's block? If so, how did you deal with it and what do you recommend to your colleagues?

I go through writer’s block. I deal it with by making moans into basses and I know that sounds weird but just sound designing differently can get you out of the "rut". Honestly just have fun while making music, when I try hard and not having fun it doesn’t turn out good and then I get writers block.

What has helped you the most on Audiotool to improve and widen your musical horizon?

Honestly there is so many. Almost every Bass Music producer helped me ahem Asstrel ( kinda cute ngl), JoVee, Project Epsilon, Client, Siren, etc. There. are so many lmao I can’t even remember all of them.

What do you like most about Audiotool? Is there anything you would like to suggest?

The most I like about this website is that it’s free (obv makes it good) and can be used on literally anything like even on a crappy phone (don’t ask how I know that). But I would suggest an actual downloadable DAW so it doesn’t lag as much. I think AT has great potential.
