What do you mean by central role? Do you mean it has to sound the most prominent, or do we have to use it as much as possible?

Both works. If it doesn't sound the most prominent you should at least use it as much as possible.

try to combinate note and pattern track playing at the same time. Leads to cool effects
Is there a rule for presets or synths?
Also, do we NEED to use the beta studio, my computer cannot run it very well.
The only rule in this regard is that Bassline 3 must clearly play the main role. Other synths and also samples under the known copyright rules are allowed.

the note track system is a lot more intuitive now imo, for the best part of me being here I did not know how to use the 303 LOL

I can relate
It doesn't play polyphon but you can create your notes in the note track and then set notes on the bassline-3 and it will break the playing note from the note track.
Not easy to explain :-)
I mean, considering how rarely I've used it in the past, and if, I just put a pulv through the input, this is a gamechanger.
The deadline is being moved back by three days, to March 20.
There were some temporary outages of the new studio due to work on our side, but these have now been resolved.

i noticed some odd quirks when having two note tracks on the same instrument with notes that started at the same time but ended at different times
see my most recent song for said quirks (it kinda sounds like a rasselbock lol)

You can add drums and other elements, but the 303 should play the main role.
