[[Attachment:0]]Seems like https://www.audiotool.com/user/trulsenstad/ really challenged you with his Sample Sound task.
Respect to those who dared to take it on. There are again pieces included that we will now proudly present to our renowned jury.
Thank you very much for the challenge, https://www.audiotool.com/user/trulsenstad/.
And now for something completely different
Challenge 9: Sound Design
Before we present you with the final challenge next week, which will also determine the final winner of the Summer Games, you have another chance this week to not only win prizes, but also earn points for that final victory.
This time, the challenge consists of two parts. Earn points in both to increase your chances of winning the prize.
This way ↠ https://www.audiotool.com/contest/weekly_challenge_9
Challenge 9 a was thought up by https://www.audiotool.com/user/anotherevolution/ for you:
Recreate the sound of a grand piano using all the devices at your disposal, except samples.
Challenge 1 Summary:
*Recreate the sound of a grand piano
*Use all synths and effects
*No samples, no Presets
*Name the challenge in the title
Challenge 9b comes to you from our experimental icon, Sila.
https://www.audiotool.com/user/borozo/ challenges you to create the most extraordinary sounds with a beat - in the form of a drum loop - and the Pulsar Delay.
Challenge 2 Summary:
*Create crazy sounds with a beat and the Pulsar delay (The amount of pulsar delays is up to you.)
*Recording automations wanted
*No additional synths or drum machines allowed
*No additional samples, effects and presets allowed
You have until October 16th to submit you entries
Good luck.

Do you have to do both sila and poets thing to count as an entry?
@a-records thats kind of short dont you think
I think this would be fun😊
Nope minimum 30 seconds maximum 2 minutes is not too short. We don't want full tracks here
hehehe, yes definitely! ;-)
I think I have to add my 2 cents because I think I presented the challenge in a wrong way.
I think people are allowed to use all devices they want as well as synths to create melodies or just use samples. The reason for that is with just a drum loop and a pulsar delay with no filtering it will sound awful. Second, the more sounds you introduce to the pulsar delay the richer the effect. Also, you can really use any effects you want for example if you want to have a reverb you can do it. Pulsar delay effects really cannot be mistaken with anything else. So if you come up with cool pulsar delay effects one will know it's in fact pulsar delay by studying the draft and simply by hearing it since nothing else can replicate it. MAIN EFFECTS have to be DONE with PULSAR DELAY. The draft size can be as big as you want and sound wise I think you should be allowed to use as many sound sources as you want just make sure to make them crazy effects n shit!
Here is a good example of what you need to achieve = https://www.audiotool.com/track/7a8ls9yd/
Once again I'm sorry if I delivered this wrong :(
In the presented track above the manipulated sound and effects is 99.99% pulsar delay.
i had no idea this was dropping today lmaooo
ooo i love sila's challenge
So If I understand it correct we can use any type of sound source and device as long it is routed through a Pulsar? No matter where the Pulsar is located in the wiring?
Sorry, I don't intend to change that. The video is pretty clear, and the challenge is now announced on all channels. There's nothing in the rules that prohibits building your own loop. We won't be strict about it. However, it's advisable to keep the draft of the loop for any future inquiries.
Long story short, it's all about making some sick pulsar delay effects.
Once again sorry for not providing a proper info. Since it's announced the way it's announced there is nothing to be changed at this point.
Eventhough I'll be dying of jealousy of how close people will get to a piano, I like making little 1 synth compositions and this is a good oportunity to do so. Also might make some pulsar hell sounds, why not?
oh im DEFINITELY doing sila's challenge LES GOOO
OH man this'll be a GREAT way for me to work with something similar to your art of sampling thing
well not similar but quite inspired
i really do wanna GO ALL OUT with how i work out the pulsar delay but man i hope my doodoo graphics card lenovo can handle the amount of automations im gonna use guhnhjntj
I might do sum
i wonder what @jdog123476 would do
? man I suck at this kinda shit lmao
I like how for this you don't have to make a full track
How many pulsar delays can we use?
Unlimited?
As much as you need
I'm still confused with Challenge 9b...
there are submissions with Pulvs, Heisenbergs or Space synths. I see effect devices and other stuff. Isn't this against the rules???
Only one beat from an Audiotrack and pulsar delay (amount doesn't matter)
It's not you who is confused.
Addition to 9b: You can use one Loop in an Audio Track and as many Pulsar Delays as you like. That's it
😂
@borozo Do me a favor. You left us the information "Grab a beat" (dropping an audio track to the desktop in the video), "Attach it to THE pulsar delay, and make some sick effects."
From this information, we have created the rules, which are now binding. Please do not confuse the challengers. The rules are stated in the board post and on the challenge page, nowhere else. I have at least adjusted the number of delays to be used. Nothing else changes now.
Thank you
can i compress it
pulsar can get quite loud
Sorry, no
hm, in that case my entry would be disqualified. how would i go about removing it from the entries? or would you guys just not count it
