You can now switch between 'Place and Route Devices' and 'Pick Sounds and Compose'. This supports the traditional Audiotool routing method and allows fast transitions between detailed device editing and quick sketching without workspace reconfiguration. When using the classic Audiotool workflow, editors now replace the studio panel.
If you are on smaller screens these changes should help. Keep your feedback coming!
Bounce Track
Audio can be bounced directly from a mixer strip to a sample. Choose between the full track or the selected loop range, which is similar to the “Bounce Timeline” feature in the previous Studio version.
Soundbar
The Soundbar offers a compact view of the entire signal chain, including all effects. Effects can be reordered directly within this view, eliminating the need to move them on the desktop. It also allows navigation to instruments on the desktop, and adding or removing effects.
Curated Templates
New projects can be started from feature templates or complete demo tracks. Note for the future: This is the first step towards private and community templates.
not sure if it's just me or what but all my projects from the old version of audiotool that i open in the new version have every slope device set to 100% resonance
Please include as many details as possible (browser, OS, steps to reproduce, etc.), and if you can attach a screenshot or short video, that would be very helpful. This will make it much easier for the team to diagnose and fix the issue.
For me, I noticed that when I opened up my drafts in the beta version, the quality of my tracks sounded very different. Is this a temporary thing, or is this still going to continue when the beta version gets released?
Yup, I noticed that too. For me I'm not worried about going in and doing anything to my older tracks. Personally, I think it's because of the changes as far as the LPF and HPF and the new way we can compress our sounds, along with the new Receiver in beta, which gives us channels. All that I think takes a little bit of a factor when it comes to our older projects. Plus the mixers that were involved in those projects. I don't know, might should let that one go.....That's just me though.
Sorry for late reply. If you find noticable sound difference, we would like to know the specific examples. At best pls fill out the form (link is only visible to registered users) for each track separate or all at once to make it a bit faster. and pls point us to the tracks/sounds/devices that sound different.
why is the UI with all the devices are on the left side of the screen instead of the right that is
why
the update is definitely far more tolerable to look at than the first one, i'll give it that for sure (especially since y'all did keep the promise of retaining some of the old studio look but with a new shiny special sparkle coat put in place lol)
but i guess i slightly despise beta now, like. ever so slightly. my doubtmaxxing will continue while beta continues improving or something idk
i cant deny i am intrigued to see what new things the UI and overall look and feel of beta in the continued future
but for now, im just... lurking and seeing what's changing
You know - my old friend - sometimes in life, you have opportunities right in front of you. And you can take them and get yourself heard by the right audience.
Sorry if this has been asked already but will we be able to open current audiotool drafts and published tracks in the new platform once it leaves beta?
Hm, that's not supposed to happen and doesn't on this end. If possible pls report the issue with as much detail as you can give via (link is only visible to registered users)
We'll look into and may reach out to you in case more detail is needed.
Love it. Big ups to the Audiotool Team. That's a big update there my friends. . I'm used to seeing that Bounce Track feature on Ableton, which allows us to condense all our sounds down into 1 Sample which is super handy feature and a space saver. Go Audiotool Team.
