imaginary friend winners!

Total playing time: 0:31:14

so after the long wait... I'm finally going to announce the winners of the imaginary friend contest.

I've picked six winners (incl. the joint 6/7th), leaving out a few remixes that I liked - I can't have too many here!

-

IN 1ST:

imaginary friend (daniel burgoyne remix)

This is simply one of the most beautiful atmospheres I have ever heard. You can hear elements from the original track here and there, but Daniel really made this his own, which is definitely one of the main things I was looking for. The subtle percussion is just so good. Congrats to you.

IN 2ND:

(nightlight - notoz remix)

I've always been a big fan of the way Notoz combines atmospheres from lots of tracks with powerful DnB. This remix is structured well... and it's something about the vibe that means this track had to come out near the top. Thanks Notoz for this great remix!

IN 3RD:

imaginary friend (OLE Remix)

This remix is so crisp and clean. I really love the mixtures between different rhythms, and all the variation. When it all comes together, the whole thing is just incredibly dreamy. Awesome work here.

-

IN 4TH:

nightlight (lumen remix)

I really like where lumen took this slow and simple rhythm. The break in the middle really leaves you wanting more - which really is the only problem with this. Super cool stuff!

-

IN 5TH:

paper plane (notoz remix)

First of all: thank you very much for fixing my HORRIBLE track. This is another lovely DnB remix - what I really love is the part in the middle before the second section, which builds it up nicely. It might just be the original track, but there is a bit less focus on atmosphere here. Beautiful remix nonetheless.

-

IN 6TH/7TH:

hopscotch (floydpjasper drumtweekr mix)

(nice title, by the way.) I like floydpjasper's cool sped-up remix of Hopscotch. The synths are the same, but as the "drumtweekr" suggests, the real differences are in the percussion - which is really nice, by the way. Thanks for this remix!

hopscotch (rob W remix)

Rob W's remix is amazing too! The percussion is great. Has a really nice groove to it - these two are a tie.

-

With lots of different original tracks and artist styles it's a bit difficult to choose the right order for me. This is just an ordered list of the remixes I loved the most!

Thanks to everyone who entered, I really appreciate it. :)
