Let's say I'm using a sample. That sample is making different sounds on different sides of my headphones (for instance, you can hear a guitar coming from the left, and you hear a piano on the right). How would you equalize the sounds to where you hear both the "guitar" and the "piano" in both ears equally?

  • If it's a question of adjusting the relative levels of each channel so that they sound equally loud, that's what panning is for. You can adjust the pan control on whatever device is playing the sample or on the corresponding channel of a mixer you're connecting to. If it's a question of EQing each channel independently so that they sound well together, the Graphical EQ can boost and cut simultaneously in stereo or, as explained below, you can split the signal, isolate each channel with the Panorama device and apply independent, parallel EQ to each one before merging them again.
