Recently, Google Chrome has made PWAs, or Progressive Web Apps, a standard in both Chromium and competing browsers such as Safari and Firefox. These installable web apps offer a native experience in terms of performance and implementation. They also have the added benefit of saving storage, if it is a concern.
You've likely seen the "Add audiotool to your Homescreen" banner, which installs Audiotool (www.audiotool.com) as a PWA on your desktop or mobile device with an updated Chromium browser. This guide shows how to install Audiotool Studio (www.audiotool.com/app) manually on your desktop.
Installing Audiotool Studio
Open Google Chrome
Go to [https://www.audiotool.com/app Audiotool Studio]
Click the three-dot menu at the top right
Navigate to More Tools and click Create Shortcut...
In the dialogue box, you may rename the shortcut to Audiotool Studio (this is good if you already have Audiotool installed and want to differentiate the two apps)
Select Open as new window
Click Create
The Studio will open as a standalone PWA. You may then add it to your Taskbar or Dock
The icon for the app will not be optimised for larger viewing (e.g. on the Dock). So, [https://www.deviantart.com/octaviotti octaviotti] has provided an Audiotool icon as a part of their [https://www.deviantart.com/octaviotti/art/Clay-OS-9-A-macOS-IconPack-705013399 Clay OS icon pack (Mac)]. I've included [https://www.dropbox.com/sh/alukvwp1yplgzdh/AAAqJkSiHvm7SxPkdGo-ezY0a?dl=0 a separate download] which includes ICNS, ICO, and PNG files included in the original pack.
Hope you all enjoy!
