to preface, i posted this message first on the audiotool discord with photo evidence for my stories’ performance statistics. if you are interested in seeing these photos you can find them there.
as far as i’m aware (i don’t know for sure), it wasn’t put under a bot attack and that huge jump is likely my fault. i have a decent following on both my instagram and my soundcloud and after seeing other nominees promote the featured artist event on their instagram stories i thought it was okay for me to promote mine there as well. i posted my stories only two days ago because i was away on a hiking trip for about 6 days and afterwards i wanted to wait to see more people i knew promote the event externally to make the decision to do it myself.
i did not bot any of these views, stats or link clicks. these are real individuals who support my music. i have been continuously open with my fans and friends that i make a large majority of my music on audiotool and in my stories i asked for people to check out all of the other competitors before being their concrete decision.
i noticed a good amount of messages disdaining what happened and i’d like to apologize for all the mayhem and frustration this has caused. i was under no impression whatsoever that my promotion of my nomination would be so detrimental to the results of the voting and i had perceived what i did to be completely okay based on what i saw around me. i love the audiotool community to its core and feel awful seeing the negative impact of a decision i only understood to be okay and legal to the competition.

I can see the debate amongst the idea of the top 3 not mainly using AT as intended, ngl i love these guys because these are some of the last pioneers that are still active continuously on Site. But i do understand the concerns and i feel like there should be some common sense into this. Firstly, if we are gonna use songs that arent really made in this website, maybe publish a 10 second teaser and a link to the track somehwere else which deserves more traction. But ive been also noticing that a lot of you clearly overdue it too much to the point i get fooled many many times thinking i can learn from the tracks with such amazing audio design, just to find out its all samples. You guys deserve the top 3 since its clearly audience based, but truly from the bottom of my heart to everyone who clearly does this, theres other ways to put your creative work out there that isnt audiotool founded.
