Is it possible to upload string-VST or drum-VST-made samples on Audiotool?

Hi!

Like it says in the title, can I make samples made in other DAWs but using VSTs like EastWest Hollywood Orchestral Woodwinds or EastWest Hollywood Strings or EZDrummer (for example) and upload them onto Audiotool?

I ask this because I want to know if uploading that kind of samples would result in a copyright violation depending if it's either 100% my own composition or it's an interpolation or an existing composition (as long as I give credits to the original composers), as opposed to sampling directly from a copyrighted song.

Thanks for your time. -lm35/375

  • If we are talking oneshots, the answer is an easy "no".

For loops, things get a little more complex because the loop may be original, but the sound source is definitely not.

Your best bet in these instances, is to not upload anything that you do not own 100% of the rights to.

  • well i thought it was okay to upload samples made in other daws

as long as the track as a whole isnt only made out of the things you mentioned

im not a legal expert or anything though, could be wrong

  • PS: I felt that posting it here would be valid; however, you can move this thread if needed. Again, thank you.
