A New Way (Results)

Hey everyone. Sorry for the delay on this, I've been extremely busy with a lot of stuff and I wanted to take some time and do a good job on this. I just wanted to say that I appreciate every single one of the remixes - I listened to all of them and I think that every single one has potential for something great. Thanks to everyone for making audiotool's community great! The results: ________ Abstract - 9.5 Sound Design: 2.5 Balancing/Mastering: 2.5 Originality/Adaptation: 2.5 Arrangement: 2 Nicely balanced, raw without being unfinished. Nice adoption of the theme and melodic lines. I thought that the middle section could have been a bit more rich in melody, but that's a minor observation. Second drop is dirty and fits perfectly with the main arp. ________ Zone - 9 Sound Design: 2.5 Balancing/Mastering: 2.5 Originality/Adaptation: 1.5 Arrangement: 2.5 Incredible mixing in the bass and midtones, as usual. Clean vocals add to an rich atmosphere. My only issue is the difference from the source material - it's a good flip, but pretty different to be a remix. ________ Pathfinder - 8.5 Sound Design: 2 Balancing/Mastering: 1.5 Originality/Adaptation: 2.5 Arrangement: 2.5 Really cool use of vocals to get that nu-disco sound. Awesome arrangement - the track could have benefitted from a little cleaner sound though. It sounds pretty busy and overwhelming at times, but the intended sound is clear. Awesome work! ________ DubLion - 8 Sound Design: 2 Balancing/Mastering: 2 Originality/Adaptation: 2 Arrangement: 2 Nice work with the tempo change - bassnote changes as well? The arp could have been a little more used in the track, but I love the feel of the track overall. Great job! ________ Dove/Navor - 8 Sound Design: 2 Balancing/Mastering: 2 Originality/Adaptation: 1.5 Arrangement: 2 Strong drop - it's pretty well cut and dried, but there isn't that much else to the remix. That being said, it's still a great track, kudos (no cross-DAW hate).
