The other winner of "the most important election of the year" and first Featured Artist in 2017 is a guy called Lewi Astro. His exciting mixture of Hip-Hop- or Trap beats and atmospheric melody constructions is realized masterfully and has earned him a great respect among the community, as proven by the rapidly increasing number of followers and fans. Mark-Lewis Ndikintum Place: Born in Santa, Cameroon in the year 2000. Age: 16
- Musical Style
- It's really hard for me to define my style but I'll simply say: smooth sounds with nice percussions, that is usually. A more Hip Hop like R&B. My synths and chords are like borderline Ambient most of the time too. I love smooth flowing chord progressions.
- Musical Background
- I don't really have a musical background, I just had a love for music. I was never good at playing instruments as a kid, and I really haven't tried in my recent years, except for piano (which I'm not too good at, either)
- Started making music
- I started making music when I was 12, on a website called "Club-Create" or something like that (currently shut down, I don't know why). I didn't know what I was doing, I would just compile samples onto one another. At the time, I already knew about Audiotool from my older brother. He used to make music here, and he's the one that showed me the website. I didn't get into it at first because it seemed too difficult. However, a couple of months later I was all in because I learned how to drag and drop samples onto the timeline lol. And they had WAY more samples than the site I was using prior. Give it another year and I was making my own drums and synths, and truly started composing my tracks.
- Message to the community
- My message to the very talented Audiotool community is to enjoy the music and the process of creation. Always stay open-minded no matter the genre you produce. Lastly produce what you feel.
