Interview
Name: Liam Robertson Place: Glasgow, Scotland (UK) "I lived in Minnesota, USA until moving to the UK at age nine" Age: 13 Profession: Williamwood High School
- Musical Style
- I don't really like to limit myself to a particular style or genre, but what I make is usually pretty chilled out. Other than that, I don't know what I'd call it. It's often focused on synths, chords and melodies, but sometimes I go through future garage stages where percussion is the main thing.
- Musical Background
- I've always been into piano. Even before I started getting lessons at the age of six, I'd play around, making up little pieces. I've always preferred composing small songs on the piano over playing pieces by other people, and piano is still a major part in making my tracks.
- Started making music
- Although I'd been making music on the piano many years before, I only started making music electronically earlier this year.
- On Audiotool
- I actually found audiotool well over a year ago in search of an easy way to make music. This was when I really started to get into lots of different types of music - and I really wanted to try it out for myself. I gave up after a week. Everything I tried to do just ended up turning into trash, and so I forgot about audiotool for a long time, until about half a year ago - something brought me back to the site, and some of the stuff I was hearing was really impressive. I decided to give it another shot, and for the past 5 months I've been hooked.
- Message to the community
- Audiotool is the coolest way to get into making music. The relatively small community makes everyone's presence so much more valuable - so make the music you love. Audiotool is where you can get away with that. By making the music you want to hear, you will end up with a group of people who love your music, which is what we all need as artists starting out on Audiotool.
