How to use a dual monitor setup with Audiotool

Hi, I'm SOLACE!

(aka Soly, Saul Alone & Happiest Kid in the World)

Today I'm gonna show you how I made the song " From Afar " with a dual monitor setup. This will be a convoluted bootleg method of doing so until AT finally makes an official way to do it.

1. On first monitor, sign in to your first account using your regular browser

2. On second monitor, sign in to your alt account using incognito mode or another browser

3. Use one of the accounts to invite the other to a draft.

4. After assigning both accounts to the "admin" role in the draft, drag the timeline all the way down on the monitor of your choice.

5. Drag the timeline all the way up on the monitor you haven't dragged it on yet

Now you have one monitor for the timeline, and one monitor for the equipment! Cool.

Have fun!

EDIT: see AWENIX's thread; no need for multiple accounts!

  • yooo that's actually super awesome! i'm def gonna do that from now on!

  • That's not necessary to create an alt account for just a dual-monitor setup. You can open the same draft in the different tabs, and then, just put one tab to the monitor, another tab, to another monitor.

    • regarding cpu/lag, it works fine for me.

i didn't know you could do it on the same account though! that's super helpful

    • tbh it's useless in AT using a dual-monitor set. It just wastes a lot of CPU
